Who Can Shoot

Applications to join the club are invited from members of the public subject to certain criteria laid down by the Home Office and Scottish Office. Anyone who has been in prison for a period longer than three months is barred from joining any rifle club.

There is no discrimination between male and female members nor is there any age discrimination other than junior members whe are required to be accompanied by an adult. Shooting can be carried out well into retirement ages as a number of our members can testify.

All equmpment including rifles, is available for use by new members, and it is not necessary to possess a Firearm Certificate on joining the club.

Until full membership has been granted a fee of £5 per night is payable and £2 for juniors which goes towards the payment of your membership fee.  In addition to the club membership fee, members are also required to become members of the NSRA (National Small Bore Rifle Association) which is the ruling body of the sport.  Membership of the NSRA as well as providing insurance also allows entry to the major competitions.
